A long road ahead

Today I wanted to share my plans on self publishing my stories. I’d like to set an expectation for you to know where my works are going. Currently I have release plans for stories in The Children of Gomorrah series, though I have another series I’d like to publish as well.

Intersection comes out September 15th, 2023. If you want to peruse information on Intersection, click here. After Intersection’s release, I’ll be switching gears into book launch mode for about two weeks. Since this is my first self publishing project, I’m not sure how taxing this time period will be, but I’ll do my best to keep up on the blog and my other writing works.

Intersection will be initially released as an eBook. It will then be released as physical copies bundled together with other novellas from The Children of Gomorrah series later next year.

My next work I’d like to release in December, 2023. This book is Mesa. It is the followup to Intersection. Mesa is also more beefy a read than Intersection.

Sleepwalker is the next story in the line. It will be bundled together with Hollow, a work of micro fiction, which ties into the Sleepwalker story. I want this novella to be released in March, 2024.

Sleepwalker/Hollow will be initially released as an eBook. It will then be released as physical copies bundled together with other novellas from The Children of Gomorrah series later next year.

Next up is Elevator, planned to be released in June, 2024. You might be able to detect a pattern here of a three month release schedule.

Finally comes Paralyzed, which I’m currently still finishing writing. This novella I’ve planned to release in September, 2024.

Here’s when physical copies come into play. Since all of the stories thus far in The Children of Gomorrah series are novellas, they would be super thin books to have physical copies of. Because of this, I want to release physical copies of them bundled together. This will be called The Children of Gomorrah: Collection I, or something like that. I’d really like to have both paperback and hard cover options for the bundle. I’d like this collection to release in the beginning of November, 2024.

The Tryptic is the first bonafide novel in The Children of Gomorrah series. I’d like this book to release as an eBook and physical book in December, 2024. I’ve done some minor plotting and outlining for this novel, though my writing time is going to Paralyzed at the moment. But since I have more than a year to hit my soft deadline, I’m not worried.

The Tryptic will close the first phase of The Children of Gomorrah series. I have a whole second phase of stories planned in the same structure as the first: novellas that lead up to a novel to close the phase.

Each phase in TCoG series will end in an epic novel that pits our heroes against a grave threat to our world. I’m really excited for the coming year of releases, and I’m hopeful that this series will build a readership.

So those are my self publishing plans for the foreseeable future.
